"Childlike faith in the perfect love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will 'divide asunder' Satan's snares of inadequacy, imperfection, and guilt."

Satan "plants doubts about the nature of the Godhead and our relationship with them." Three ways he does this are with feelings of false inadequacy, exaggerated imperfection and needless guilt. But "childlike faith in the perfect love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will 'divide asunder' Satan's snares."

Five ways are suggested to "more fully feel the tender love of God." First, people can see themselves as children of a loving Father in Heaven. "God the Father is merciful and has infinite love for you despite your faults. Only the voice of Satan will cause you to feel of no value."

Second, church members should also place their burdens on Jesus Christ, and third, forgive themselves of sins and imperfections. "Avoid wasting time and energy reliving the past."

Fourth, sustain hope of eternal life. And fifth, find joy each day. "One source of joy is service, for when you are busy helping others, you will have less capacity to agonize over your own shortcomings."
