Erma May Tanner Wall "Together Again" Erma May Tanner Wall passed away October 14, 2006 due to complications from a stroke. She was born in Payson, Utah to William Fredrick and Minnie Winward Tanner May 11, 1915. She was the last survivor of a loving family of four girls and two boys. She married the love of her life, Jason Alonzo Wall, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple December 11, 1936. Five special spirits were born of this union, Jason Reed (Shirley), Karla Jean (Joe) Sanders, Jay Arlen (Sheri), Scott Edward (Roberta) and Steven Tanner (Brenda) Wall. Erma accepted and held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, far too numerous to mention. Any position that she was appointed to was filled with love, understanding, generosity and knowledge that she was doing the Lords work. She never said no to a church calling, her favorite job being with the Primary children that she dearly loved. For many years Jason and Erma did extraction work for the church and had a special mission, helping the Hmong population in their area. Erma tutored many children at the Washington Elementary School. She was always the happiest when she was helping others. Erma is survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one expected. Also survived by three great-great-grandsons. A special mention to Clea, Truus and Uncle Boyd - your love and friendship is worth its weight in gold. We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care given to our Mom during her final hours from the LDS Hospital intensive care and palliative care staff. A viewing will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Prior to the funeral, family and friends may also visit from 9:45-10:45 a.m., Wednesday, October 18th, at the Salt Lake Stake Center, 142 W. 200 N. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
