Obituary: John Richard Bohn

John Richard Bohn 1934 ~ 2006 BOUNTIFUL, UT- John Richard Bohn, age 72, returned to his Heavenly Father Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 due to complications from diabetes. He was born July 2, 1934 to Orson and Mary Bohn of Murray, UT. He married the love of his life, Colleen Louise Park, April 18, 1986 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Both his mother and father preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, and their combined children Curt (Marcia) Bohn, North Salt Lake; Cary (Bill) Marrott, Kaysville; Wade R. (Ami) Johns, Farmington; Craig (Karen) Bohn, W. Jordan; Paula (Bill) Scott, Sierra Vista, AZ; Clark (Kathy) Bohn, Seattle, WA; Kay Lynn King, Bountiful; Celeste (Scott) Forman, Salt Lake City; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and his brother, Orson Arthur Bohn, W. Jordan. He had an unquestioning love for his extended family. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities but especially loved being a home teacher. He always taught his family by example. He and Colleen served as missionaries in the Utah, Salt Lake City Mission from 2000 to 2001. He was employed by Litton Industries, Thiokol, Utah State Air Quality Management and as an Emergency Medical Technician at LDS Hospital throughout his working career. He was very talented in wood working and carving and received several awards for his skills. Those who were recipients of these talents cherish his work. He also enjoyed fishing, fly-tying, reading, and spending time with his family at their cabin. As a family we would like to express our gratitude for the exceptional care he received from the wonderful staff at Promise Specialty, Salt Lake Regional and Lakeview Hospitals. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Oct 19, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Park 1st Ward, 1825 S. 800 E., Bountiful. Family and friends may visit Wed. evening, Oct. 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 No. Main, Bountiful or 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
