Anna Margareta Ericsson Lagerberg 1922 ~ 2006 Anna Lagerberg passed away September 26, 2006 in her Salt Lake City home. She was born November 2, 1922, to Emil Ericsson and Jenny C. Wikstrom, in Vasteras, Sweden. Anna attended Uppsala University, Scandinavia's oldest university. Before immigrating to the U.S. with her husband, she worked as a researcher at the Swedish National Bacteriological Laboratory. As a student at the U of U, she worked at the Marriott Library. She earned her B.A. from the University of Utah, where she graduated with honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha, and Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi member. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and worked as a translator in the LDS Church Translation Department. Anna had a zest for learning, and pursued this by studying 10 languages. In addition, Anna was a "Rotary Ann" in the Rotary International Clubs in Cedar City, UT; Stockholm, Sweden; Portland, OR; Frankfurt, Germany; and Salt Lake City, UT. She dutifully supported her husband as he served a full-time mission in Finland, shortly after their 1945 marriage in Stockholm. Her loving support continued as she traveled with him in Europe as he served the LDS Church for nine years as the European building supervisor. Survived by husband, Karl Lagerberg; daughter, Catharina Lagerberg of Salt Lake City; Peter (Martha) Lagerberg of Springfield, VA; daughter, Patricia Hardaway of Pearland, TX. Grandchildren, Thomas, Ashley, Victoria Julia, Nick, Alex, and Anna; sister, Karin Strom of Vasteras, Sweden. Preceded in death by her sister, Gudrun Ericsson. Funeral services will be Monday, October 2, 2006, 12 noon at the Bonneville First Ward, 1535 Bonneview Drive. Friends may call Sunday evening, October 1, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, and Monday 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment at Mt.
