Maliyah Herrin slept in her own bed Thursday night, after spending nearly two weeks in the hospital for a bowel obstruction.

She was discharged from Primary Children's Medical Center on Thursday.

Last week, surgeons at Primary corrected the blockage. It was caused by scarring from the complex surgery where the girl was separated from her twin, Kendra. They were born joined mid-abdomen. Kendra had similar scarring and an operation to fix it about a month ago.
