The Children's Center, a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health care for Utah children, recently announced plans for expansion with the purchase of the Oquirrh School building in downtown Salt Lake City.
The Children's Center said the building, built in 1894 at 350 S. 400 East, will undergo an environmentally sound "green" renovation under the direction of AJC Architects.
Construction is slated to begin in January 2008. A target completion date was not disclosed.
