Judy Lee Russon Hind 7/27/1947~10/27/2006 Judy Lee Russon Hind died peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a nine year struggle with early onset Alzheimeer's. Judy was born July 27, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Leo and Esther Russon. She grew up in Rose Park and graduated from West High School. She attended BYU for one year. She met the love of her life, Spencer James Hind, on a blind date, when she swept him off his feet with her homemade fried chicken. They were married on a snowy December 1st, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. Judy served in many church callings, such as Relief Society President, Primary President, Young Women's Counselor, and in the Stake Relief Society Presidency. Judy loved gardening, sewing, canning, and cooking. She cooked a mean curry chicken casserole and homemade chicken noodle soup. She also loved traveling with her husband and friends, especially walking on the beach. She holds the neighborhood record for the most haircuts in one day (30). She never missed a family sporting event. Judy is survived by her husband, Spencer, of 39 years, daughter Amy Lee, sons David James and Andy James (Ashley), grandchildren Madison Lee, Carter Ryan, Samantha Ann, and Tanner James. Also survived by her mother, brother Bob (Wendy) Russon, and sister Janice (Lester) Nielsen. Preceded in death by her father and sister JoAnn Russon. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 30, 2006 at 12 noon in the River Oaks 3rd Ward Chapel (8825 South 1095 West). Friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary (1950 East 10600 South) Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church, Monday, from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
