December 1996 — Debbie M. Hooge appointed Eagle Mountain's first mayor by the Utah County Commission.

January 1998 — Debbie Hooge sworn in for a four-year term after winning the city's first election.

September 1998 — Hooge resigns.

October 1998 — City Council appoints Robert Bateman interim mayor. He serves until January 2000.

January 2000 — Paul R. Bond Jr. elected to serve until January 2002.

January 2002 — Kelvin E. Bailey elected to serve a four-year term.

June 2005 — Bailey resigns.

August 2005 — David Lifferth chosen interim mayor by City Council.

November 2005 — Brian Olsen wins election as mayor, Lifferth resigns and Olsen assumes interim mayor role until his official term begins in January.

Jan. 1 — Olsen takes office.

Oct. 20 — Olsen resigns from office just prior to being charged with seven felony counts of misuse of public funds. Councilwoman Linda R. Strouse was chosen in an emergency council meeting to serve as a temporary mayor while the city collects applications for potential candidates.
