Gary Littlefield 1971 ~ 2006 Gary Littlefield, 35, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away in his home the morning of November 13, 2006. Gary was born May 20, 1971 to Glynn and Linda Littlefield in Murray, Utah. He grew up in Sandy and graduated from Alta High School in 1989. Gary went on to earn a Masters Degree in Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah. He then became a CPA and was employed by a large retail company where he was currently still working. This year Gary took up running and completed five marathons throughout Utah, setting the bar high as usual, for all of those he would invite to follow. Gary was a role model for what most of us may strive all of our life to be. Gary's integrity absolutely exceeded common understanding of the concept. He always took the right path no matter the consequences even when the wrong path was easier, or more profitable, or less painful. Gary never compromised what he believed to be right. He was honest, selfless, always optimistic, and always with a great sense of humor. Gary could always find a unique and often otherwise un-thought-of perspective on most any subject. He always took the time to listen and always found a way to cast a positive light on the situation at hand. He truly saw the good in everyone. Our lives are all enriched for knowing him. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Glynn Littlefield Jr. He is survived by his mother, Linda; stepfathers, Mitch and RJ; stepmothers, Sherrie and Georgia; brothers, Brandon and Jarrod; his sisters, KaiCee and Melissa; and his closest friend, Sjon. According to Gary's wishes, he will be cremated without a viewing. A gathering for family and friends will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 21st at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 So. Sandy. Online condolence to www.larkinmortuary.com In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. 435-644-2001. If Gary had a message, it might be this: Gary believed that "we can either choose to be happy about events in our lives or choose to be sad; since it is a choice, why not choose to be happy?" May we all endeavor to share in his philosophy. We love you Gary, thank you for giving us all so much of yourself. You will be deeply missed until we see you again.
