Da Vinci Advertising and Marketing announced two new hires. Jessica Denny was hired as public relations manager, and Liz Stucki was named designer/art director. Denny is a graduate of Chapman University and has experience in public relations, marketing and consulting. Stucki is a graduate of Dixie State College. Prior to joining Da Vinci, she was art director for a health care company.

Sara A. Anderson has joined the law firm of Thorpe North & Western. A graduate of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University's School of Law, Anderson specializes in intellectual property law.

The Utah Humanities Council announced the appointment of five new members to its board. The new board members are Jan Bennett, former assistant state director to Sen. Orrin Hatch and senior policy adviser to Sen. Bob Bennett; Lisa Flores, associate professor in communication and ethnic studies at the U.; Donald Gartman, vice president and trust officer with Zions Bank; Joanne Milner, community relations program manager at Horizonte Instruction and Training Center; and L. Jackson Newell, past president of Deep Springs College and professor emeritus at the U.

Clint Costley has joined R&O Construction's business development department. Costley has more than eight years of construction experience. He is a graduate of Weber State University and the U.

Educators Mutual Insurance Association has named Ted Peck as chief information officer. Peck will oversee EMIA's network, data and systems security, hardware and software management, telecommunications and technology vendor management. Prior to joining EMIA, Peck served as IT director at another Utah-based company. He is a graduate of Utah State University.

Dale Christiansen was named president of Wasatch Finance and Credit, a Salt Lake company that is part of the Wasatch group of companies. Christiansen has more than 20 years of experience in banking and real estate finance, most recently as a senior vice president at a Salt Lake branch of a national bank. He is a graduate of BYU and Arizona State University.

Jon Springmeyer was named vice president at Bonneville Research, a Utah-based consulting firm providing economic, financial, market and policy research to public and private sector clients. In his new role, Springmeyer will work on urban renewal and housing projects for Bonneville clients.

Drew Clarke was named director of human resources at CHG Healthcare Services, a health-care staffing firm. Clarke has more than 12 years of related experience, most recently as division HR manager for another firm. He is a graduate of Utah State.

Richter7, a Salt Lake-based advertising and public relations agency, has hired Dave Larsen as associate creative director. Larsen has 13 years of experience as art director and associate art director at agencies from California to Salt Lake City.

Greg Miller has joined the executive management team of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies as senior vice president. Miller has worked in various capacities within the organization for 29 years, most recently serving at Larry H. Miller Management Co. on special projects.

Logan-based Inovar Inc., a provider of electronic manufacturing services, has hired Adam Arnell as a business development manager. Arnell will be responsible for sales and customer relations for strategic accounts. A BYU graduate, he has more than eight years of experience in sales.

Tatum's Salt Lake office announced that Brent Jensen and Gary Rogers have joined the company. Jensen brings experience in the semiconductor and technology industries, serving most recently as senior vice president and chief financial officer at a semiconductor company. Rogers joins Tatum with more than 20 years of experience in executive management of small- to mid-size companies.

The Utah County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has elected Gabriel J. Perez as chairman and Gabriel Heyn as vice chairman of its board of directors. Perez is a Realtor at Century 21. Heyn serves as vice chairman and owner of Wingers Provo. The Utah County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was founded to promote the economic development of Hispanic and other minority-owned businesses in Utah County.

Keller Williams Realty Salt Lake City announced that Kroger Menzer has joined its team of Realtors. Menzer's expertise includes mortgage financing.

The Sandy Chamber of Commerce has selected Daniel Flores, a business development officer at Bank of American Fork, to serve as chairman of the board for 2008. He will serve out the year as the board's secretary, and as chairman-elect in 2007. Flores has 25 years of banking experience, the last three at Bank of American Fork.

Westminster College announced the appointment of Gary Daynes as director of the Center for Civic Engagement. He also will join the college as an associate professor of history. Daynes served most recently as coordinator of the faculty service-learning community of practice and associate director of the Freshman Academy at BYU. He is a BYU graduate and received graduate and post-graduate degrees from the University of Delaware.
