Karma Gardner Cook 1932 ~ 2006 On Saturday evening, Nov. 4, 2006, Karma Gardner Cook peacefully passed away at the University of Utah Neuro Critical Care Unit. Karma was born on May 25, 1932, to Wallace Ivan Gardner and Gladys Bennion Gardner in Afton, Wyoming. She graduated from Star Valley High School and Utah State University receiving degrees as a registered nurse and elementary school teacher. She loved singing as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for many years. Karma enjoyed serving as a health welfare missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Western Samoa, where she met her future husband, Kenneth L. Cook. Karma and Ken were married in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on August 5, 1960. Her life was an amazing celebration of service to family, friends, neighbors and countless strangers. Karma is survived by five children: Eve Bean (Joseph), Fruit Heights; Dan G. Cook (Nancy), Farmington; Mark G. Cook, Syracuse; Eden Dimond (Dean), Jerome, Idaho; Joel G. Cook (Leslie), Farmington; and 13 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 10, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the West Point 11th Ward Chapel, 4383 W. 300 N., West Point, Utah. Interment, Carey, Idaho Cemetery at 4 p.m. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
