The First Presidency has announced the callings of six new Missionary Training Center presidents. The new leaders and their wives will begin service in January 2007.
Jeffry Alma Allred, 64, Dominican Republic Missionary Training Center; Thirteenth Ward, Salt Lake Central Stake; former president of the Paraguay Asuncion Mission, public affairs missionary in the Spain Madrid Mission, counselor in mission presidencies, branch president and missionary in the Central American Mission. Retired Regional Facilities manager for the Church. Born in San Diego, Calif., to C. Price and Enid Seeley Allred. Married Silvia Henriquez, eight children.
Sister Allred served with her husband in the Paraguay Asuncion Mission, and is a former public affairs missionary in the Spain Madrid Mission, member of the Young Women general board, stake Relief Society president, stake Primary president, and missionary in the Central American Mission. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, to Carlos Florentino and Hilda Alvarenga Henriquez.
Rodolfo Pinon, 63, Mexico Missionary Training Center; Yakima 6th Ward, Yakima Washington Stake; former president of the Mexico Torreon Mission, stake president and counselor, bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Mexico Mission. Spanish instructor, Yakima Valley Community College. Born in El Paso, Texas, to Manuel Rafael and Emma Pinon. Married Mary Ann Kohlstrand, seven children.
A ward missionary, Sister Pinon served with her husband in the Mexico Torreon Mission, and is a former secretary in a stake Relief Society, ward Relief Society president, counselor and teacher, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and enrichment leader. Born in St. Helens, Ore., to Carl Richard and Madlyn Veronia Yadon Kohlstrand.
Hee Chul Seo, 63, Korea Missionary Training Center; Suji Ward, Seoul Korea Yeongdong Stake; former president of the Korea Busan Mission, stake president and counselor, bishop, high councilor and temple ordinance worker. Institute director, Church Educational System, retired college professor. Born in Daegu, Korea, to Heung Mok and Chung Ho Choi Seo. Married Kyoung Soon Chung, three children.
Sister Seo served with her husband in the Korea Busan Mission, and is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, president of ward Relief Society and Primary, gospel doctrine teacher and temple ordinance worker. Born in Daegu, Korea, to Dong Whi and Chae Sun Kim Chung.
Lynn Richard Shurtleff, 67, Colombia Missionary Training Center; North Field 3rd Ward, Pleasant Grove Utah North Field Stake; former president of the Ecuador Quito Mission, stake president and counselor, bishop and counselor, high councilor and missionary in the Uruguayan Mission. Retired professor of music at Santa Clara University. Born in Vallejo, Calif., to Basil Wells and Helen Ann Cheshire Shurtleff. Married Alma Don McArthur, five children.

Dean Richard Sorensen, 68, England Missionary Training Center; Rexburg 14th Ward, Rexburg Idaho Center Stake; counselor in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple presidency; former president of the Illinois Peoria Mission, area welfare agent in the Asia Area, stake president, bishop and missionary in the British Mission.
