US GreenFiber, a provider of insulation, fire and sound products that is based in Charlotte, N.C., announced Thursday that it would acquire Salt Lake-based Redi-Therm Insulation, a cellulose insulation company.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Redi-Therm's former owners, Rob and Mary Jo Reese, will become GreenFiber employees and oversee the Salt Lake plant's operations, according to a statement from GreenFiber. Tim Leahy, Western Regional Contractor Sales Manager, is in charge of the transition between GreenFiber and Redi-Therm.
The purchase makes the third acquisition in less than eight months for GreenFiber.
"Our purchase of Redi-Therm supports our long-term strategic growth plan by giving us additional manufacturing and distribution capacity in Utah, Idaho and Nevada," said Dennis Barrineau, president of US GreenFiber, in a prepared statement. "This expansion, like the two others, will continue to grow our business with both existing and new customers, reduce transportation costs and ensure our commitment to exceptional customer service throughout our network."
With this acquisition, GreenFiber has a total of 14 manufacturing plants.
