Obituary: F. Roy Garn

F. Roy Garn 1942 ~ 2006 F. Roy Garn, 63, passed away Feb. 26, 2006 in Sandy, Utah. He was born Dec. 29, 1942 in Magna, Utah to Daniel P. and Marva Johnson Garn. Married Peggy Maynard in Elko, NV on Sept. 18, 1965. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He had many friends at Ford Motor Co. where he loved working in the parts business. His nickname there was "Birddog." He enjoyed all sports and loved to watch his kids and grandkids participate. Survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Darrell (Allison), and Rod (Julie); grandchildren, Zach, Tyler, Staysha, Brayden, Justin, Corey, and Ryan; mother, Marva Smith; and brothers, Ray (Mary) Garn, and Paul Smith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Sandy 2nd Ward Chapel, 586 East 8400 South. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Thursday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
