America First Credit Union has named Pam Gygi as manager of its Kearns branch. Gygi was hired in 1995 as a consumer loan officer at America First's West Valley branch. Most recently, she served as branch manager of the credit union's Kearns Harmon's branch.

Lee Imlay has been admitted into the partnership of KPMG. Imlay provides audit services to consumer-markets clients in the firm's Salt Lake office. He joined KPMG in 1994. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of New Mexico.

The Cyberlaw section of the Utah State Bar recently announced its new officers. Randall B. Bateman of Bateman IP Law Group was elected chairman. Todd Zenger of Kirton & McConkie was named vice chairman, while Benjamin T. Wilson of Smith Hatvigsen was elected secretary/treasurer.

Olivia D. Uitto has joined the intellectual property law firm Bateman IP Law Group. Uitto received her law and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Utah. Her practice includes all areas of intellectual property law.

Lehi-based XanGo announced four staff changes. Brian Baxter has joined XanGo as senior director of human resources. He is a graduate of BYU. Robert Jaramillo joined the company as director of distributor education and conduct. He will provide training assistance to the company's distributors. He is also a graduate of BYU. Marc Walker was promoted to vice president of international development, where he will continue to oversee the company's expansion into new markets. He is a BYU graduate. TJ Schiess was promoted to senior director of distributor services. He will direct the company's call center operations and train new customer service agents.

The Utah Humanities Council announced the appointment of five new board members. Ron Allen serves on the Utah Public Service Commission and is a former minority whip in the Utah Senate. David Keller is director of the Center for the Study of Ethics at Utah Valley State College. Lee Austin is program director at Utah Public Radio/KUSU. Deb Greathouse is librarian at Delta City Library. Susan Howe is associate professor in the English department at BYU. The UHC is a nonprofit cultural agency, established in 1975.

The Salt Lake law firm of Parsons Behle & Latimer announced its new board of directors. Raymond J. Etcheverry will continue serving as chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Also remaining on the board are Hal J. Pos and Robert C. Delahunty. Newly elected board members are David W. Tundermann and Patricia J. Winmill. Etcheverry is a member of the firm's litigation department, while Pos is a member of the environmental, energy and natural resources department. Delahunty concentrates his practice in corporate, securities and general commercial law, and Tundermann focuses on environmental law and litigation. Winmill specializes in public land, mining, title and access issues.

Howard Gurney was named vice president of the mortgage department at Central Bank. Prior to joining Central Bank, Gurney owned his own appraisal business, which he formed in 1981. Prior to that, he worked in the mortgage loan department of a Utah bank.

Darlene Wiberg has joined Christopherson Travel Group as a travel consultant in the company's leisure travel division. Wiberg has 36 years of travel industry experience, with particular expertise in cruise vacation travel.

Brittney Misener, an undergraduate at Utah State University, has joined GGP Prodigies, the nationwide internship program of General Growth Properties. Misener will intern with the mall management team at Cache Valley Mall in Logan, where she will assist in daily management operations.

Bank of American Fork announced several staff promotions. Promoted to vice president of operations were: Marcia Clements, of the bank's American Fork branch; JoAnn Pack, of the bank's Alpine branch; Judy Sumner at the Orem branch; and Robyn Stanley at the Orem branch. Five team members were promoted to assistant vice president/operations manager: Lorraine Dedrickson at the bank's Spanish Fork branch; Tonya Hawkins of the Draper branch; Cheri Hubrich at the bank's Sandy branch; Tina Mattingley of the Pleasant Grove branch; and Sherry Nuccitelli of Bank of American Fork's Highland branch.

Michael K. Mohrman has joined the law firm of Rooker Mohrman Rawlins & Bailey, formerly Rooker Rawlins & Bailey, as a partner. Mohrman specializes in family law.

The Utah Information Technology Association announced four new members of its board of trustees. The new trustees are: Jacqie Soechtig, CEO of First Choice Solutions; Michael Wilcox, an accountant and executive at Hewlett-Packard; Cynthia Bioteau, president of Salt Lake Community College; and Sam Gardiner, a partner in the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney.
