Robert J. Day "Greatest Grandpa" Robert (Bob) J. Day, age 73, passed away February 6, 2006 after a courageous fight against cancer in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bob was born December 19, 1932 in Scipio, Utah to Larenzo Wayne Day and Anna L. Jenson. He graduated from Fillmore High. Bob married Joan Dunn on February 5, 1955 in Salt Lake City. Bob served in the Army in the Korean Conflict. Dad loved being a truck driver and retired from Sinclair Oil. His one true love was his family, especially his grandkids. He loved watching them and taking them on trips that they will remember forever, they will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank the Resident Care Source for the wonderful care they gave him and the family at the end. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, David (Rusty) and Terry, James (Susan) Dwayne, Linda (Bryan) Privett, Pat, Celyn and Gary; sisters, Sharon (George) LeBarron, Raegene (John) Iverson and Judith Tweedie; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one more on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 1:30 at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. The family will receive friends at a visitation prior to the service on Thursday at 12:00 noon at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South.
