Obituary: Jon Christian "Chris" Tuft

Jon Christian "Chris" Tuft 1952 ~ 2006 Chris Tuft died in Murray, Utah on March 23rd, 2006. Chris was the son of J. Reed Tuft and Barbara Larson Tuft. Chris was born March 6th, 1952 in Salt Lake City. He attended Olympus and Skyline High Schools and graduated in 1970. He attended the University of Utah. Chris worked as an amateur paleontologist and transformed broken remnants of ancient sea-life fossils into beautiful works of art. He loved the wilderness and spent his time exploring the earth and the night skies. He had a love of music and composed songs for the guitar and piano. He shared this passion with his nephew Ben. He is survived by his sisters Jody Tuft and Tammy Hoakensen, stepmother Patricia Bradley, three nieces and one nephew, and six grand nieces and nephews. His mother and father and brother Scott precede him in death. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the White Memorial Chapel, 150 E. 300 N., Salt Lake City on April 21st at 2:00 p.m. to remember and honor Chris' life.
