More Salt Lake City hotel rooms were filled in April as occupancy rates rose to 69.5 percent for the month, up from 67.6 percent in April 2005, according to the Rocky Mountain Lodging Report.
The average daily room rate in April for Salt Lake City hotels rose to $79.90, up from $75.45.
Statewide, occupancy rates for hotels hit 66.1 percent in April, up from 64.4 percent a year earlier. The average daily room rate across the state in April climbed to $80.07, up from $72.84.
