Heber Cooper Partington 9/19/07 ~ 5/1/06 Heber Cooper Partington, died on May 1, 2006, at the age of 98, due to complications of age. Heber was born on September 19, 1907 to Heber Ralph and Laura Cooper Partington in Logan, UT. He came to Salt Lake in 1929, where he ran service stations for the next 40 years. He married Lucile Cooper on September 11, 1934. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 11, 1953. She passed away on November 13, 1992. Heber served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in New Guinea and was on the invasion of the Philippines in early 1945. He made a promise to God that if he made it home alive he would do what he could to keep boys in the Church. He served for many years as a Deacon's advisor, Scout Master and explorer advisor in the Parley's 4th Ward and Parley's Stake. He also served as Parley's stake missionary and Parley's 4th Ward Secretary. He loved the Church all his life and attended Church right to the end. He loved photography, and took many award-winning photos of Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. The photos were enjoyed by family and friends and the Salt Lake Photochrome Club for many years. He was president of the Photochrome Club. Survived by son William and his wife Lee Ann Partington. Preceded in death by wife Lucile, and children Richard and John. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5th, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Parley's 4th Ward, 1870 E. Parley's Canyon Blvd. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward Friday one hour prior to services.
