Ardith Ann Anderson Greening 1942 ~ 2006 Ardy passed away unexpectedly May 1, 2006 in Provo, Utah. She was born March 6, 1942 in Ogden, Utah to John Arvid and Marie Irma Schloer Anderson. Ardy married Rex Bowen Whitehead, Feb. 1962 and they had two sons. He died in Oct. 1982. She later married Arlan Robert Greening, May 28, 1983. Education was very important to Ardy, she attended BYU earning a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She taught for over 27 years, teaching 5th grade at Geneva Elementary and 1st grade at Orem Elementary. She made several lifetime friends with her students and within the teaching community. Ardy was President of the AEA for two terms. Ardy was a talented stained glass artisan creating many windows for local Utah homes. She was a temple worker at Mt. Timpanogos Temple and was very passionate about her family history and spent many hours in active pursuit of genealogy. Ardy enjoyed traveling with her husband and they went to many wonderful places with treasured friends. Ardy loved her grandchildren. She frequently took them on outings and the children loved her dearly. Survived by her husband Arlan of Orem; two sons, John Arvid (Jennifer) Whitehead of Bluffdale; Jeff Rex (Marcie) Whitehead, West Jordan; step children: Stephen Greening of Salt Lake City; Shauna Greening of Lehi; Tony Greening of Provo; daughter-in-law Mikal Kauffman of Spanish Fork; seven grandchildren Jacob, Jessica, Tessa, Tyler, Forrest, Stephen, and Cecelia. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5 at 11 a.m. in Lake Ridge 8th Ward, 80 West 900 South, Orem. Friends may call Thurs. evening 6- 8 p.m. in Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork and Friday at the church 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment American Fork Cemetery.
