Question:I've been wanting to write you about this movie that's driving me crazy. I believe it's from the 1980s. The movie is about a boy who is bald (he may have a disease that causes this) and he lives with his grandfather or his uncle. I believe this boy is able to enter a painting of a house and goes inside the house and finds a man. He becomes friends with this man and I think the man gives him some sort of peanut butter-like mixture and tells him that if he puts it on his head overnight, he will wake up with a full head of red hair. His guardian keeps cutting his hair, but it keeps growing back longer and faster. I don't know how the movie ends or how it even began, but I hope you can help.
Answer: Eww. Sounds like the 1985 film "The Peanut Butter Solution," which stars Mathew Mackay and Alison Darcy. It's on video.
Question:There's an actor who appeared in several Bible movies who looks just like Sandra Bullock. Are they related?
Answer: Aren't we all related, when you come down to it? Regardless of our skin color, nationality or ethnic origin, aren't we all members of the human family, even though Sandra Bullock's father, John, wasn't an actor and has never, ever appeared in a Bible movie, unlike the actor who you think looks like Bullock, even though you don't have any idea what his name is? They aren't related, in other words.

Question:I saw a movie in the theater around 1990 that was about a group of gay men friends and how they were affected by the AIDS epidemic before people really knew what it was. For the life of me, I cannot remember the title of the film. Could you help me out with that and tell me if it is available on video?
Answer: Sounds a lot like 1990's " Longtime Companion," which stars Campbell Scott, Patrick Cassidy and Mary-Louise Parker. It's on DVD.
Question: My husband and I recall a very funny movie with Albert Brooks from some years ago. He had a female co-star, but I'm not sure who it was. They died and went to heaven, and heaven was a place full of restaurants where you could eat all you wanted and never gain weight. We would rent or buy this movie if it were available.
Answer: That's the 1991 film "Defending Your Life," which also stars Meryl Streep. It's on video and DVD.

Question: I am trying to find the name of a song I vaguely remember from the mid-1970s. One phrase is "the most beautiful girl in the world," but I listened to a song with that title and it didn't seem to be what I was looking for. My song is about a man looking for a girl who I think had left him. Sorry, but that is about all I can remember.
Answer: Sounds like the Charlie Rich song "The Most Beautiful Girl," recorded in 1973 and available on the Rich CD "Behind Closed Doors."
Question:I became a lover of operatic music largely because of a movie I saw in which Luciano Pavarotti was on an airplane flight from Europe to America. His seat partner was a woman who did not believe that he was, indeed, Pavarotti until he sang to her. The name of the movie, please?
Answer: Actually, she didn't believe he was Pavarotti until he asked her if she was going to finish her lunch, but that's another story. The movie is 1982's "Yes, Giorgio," which also stars Eddie Albert and Kathryn Harrold. The studio that released it might be interested in talking to you, since you are apparently the only person in America who saw it. It's on video, by the way.
