WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — As part of the 100-year anniversary of the San Francisco earthquake, the Walnut Creek California Stake held an emergency preparedness fair on April 8. Between 1,200-1,300 people attended with some 500 who were Church members, as well as the mayor from Concord. Participants put together nearly 600 72-hour survival food kits and conducted a blood drive. There were booths on food storage, water storage, and preparing for an emergency. Local law enforcement officers and the fire department participated.
