Dr. Timothy A. Johnson has joined Intermountain Medical Group, opening his practice at Cottonwood Internal Medicine. Johnson completed his residency training, including a year as chief resident, at the University of Rochester. He is also a graduate of the U. and its medical school.
R. Todd Thacker was elected to the board of directors of Intermountain Farmers Association. Thacker will represent IFA's District 4, covering the Uinta Basin and eastern Utah. He owns and oversees Thacker's Dairy Aires in Jensen, Uintah County.
Love Communications, a Salt Lake-based advertising agency, has hired Miaken Christensen as public relations account coordinator. Christensen is a graduate of Utah State University. The Salt Lake-based law firm of Workman Nydegger announced its 2006 board of directors. Rick Nydegger will serve as managing director and president of the firm. Nydegger manages many of the firm's clients in the electronic, software, information science, e-commerce and medical device technologies. Richard W. Clark was appointed director of the Utah Division of Regulatory Services. He will oversee the division's 46 employees, who perform a variety of food safety and consumer regulatory functions. Clark has 26 years of experience in the food safety industry. Most recently, he served as an assistant county planner for Tooele County.
Larry Becknell, vice president and senior transportation engineer for Stanley Consultants, was appointed to the National Transportation Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies. Becknell will help develop strategies and policies regarding national transportation issues, which will be presented to national congressional leaders.
Intermountain Financial Group, the Utah agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., announced two new hires. Jared Ashworth was hired as a financial services professional. Bern Wilson was named regional vice president of operations for Fieldstone Communities San Antonio and Fieldstone Homes Utah. He will focus on home building operations, strategic purchasing, an internal company mentoring program and coordination between Fieldstone's San Antonio and Utah operations.
Harmons Grocery Stores has named Kyle Lore as executive chef. Lore has 17 years of culinary experience. At Harmons, he will supervise the creation and preparation of special recipes in the stores' fresh-food departments. He previously served as resident executive chef and restaurant manager in Moab.

Lehi-based XanGo announced four staff changes. Robert Wood has joined the company as associate general counsel of international affairs. Wood received his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in Nebraska. Russ Fletcher joined the company as director of project management in the information technology department. Fletcher has extensive experience as a business process and strategy consultant for tech businesses. Devin Glazier was promoted to senior director of finance. In addition to his finance duties, he also will focus on new business development and employee leadership. Travis Ogden was promoted to director and corporate controller of accounting. He has 12 years of accounting experience and will oversee the company's worldwide financial reporting processes.
