Christopher James Thomas 1947 ~ 2006 Christopher James Thomas, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away suddenly June 6, 2006 in a tragic automobile accident. He had a unique ability to make people laugh, and to find the good in all situations. His optimistic personality touched the lives of many around him. Anyone who knows him has a favorite "Chris story". Chris was born May 30, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Wilfred Alvin and Violet Grundy Thomas. Chris was a business owner, and a Master Electrician. He retired after 30 years of service from Utah Power & Light. He had many hobbies including gemology, target-shooting, fishing, and he loved being with his family. He was active in the LDS church and served as a member of a Bishopric and in many teaching capacities, and especially enjoyed teaching youth. Chris was always willing to help others, gladly sharing his electrical expertise. Each one of his children considers him to be their best friend, since he always knew how to solve a problem and comfort them. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Hirschi Thomas, and children: Michael, Mark (Shelly), Michelle, Kiersten, Whitney, McKinsey, Spencer; grandchildren: Kaylen, Blake, Cameron, Berlyn; mother, Violet; siblings: David (Paula), Richard, Karl (Connie), Harold (Rhonda), Charles, Valerie, Alvin "T", Stephen (Lori).
