Aimee Slater Johnson 1972 ~ 2006 Aimee Slater Johnson, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend, lost her life Saturday, August 19th, 2006. She was born January 15th, 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Nathell Slater, their first of six children. Raised in Sandy, Utah, her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada her sophomore year. She graduated from Bonanza High School and later attended Rick's College. After almost two years at Rick's, Aimee felt the Lord's call to serve and served honorably as a missionary in the England Manchester Mission where she met her future husband Brent. She returned home in August of 1994 and finished her schooling at Dallas Roberts Hair Academy. She was married to Brent Richard Johnson September 29th, 1995. They later were sealed in the Bountiful LDS Temple December 21st, 1996. Together they had four children, Jacob, Parker, Ellee, and Abbie. Aimee's family was absolutely her greatest joy and accomplishment. She was an incredible and hard working wife and mother and she enjoyed taking her children with her everywhere she went. Aimee had an artistic eye and creative flare. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and eating, but mostly just spending time with her friends and family and serving those she loved. Her life was one of service and giving. Always wanting to help, to lift, to serve and support. She was radiant and full of life. Her energy and enthusiasm were undeniable. Her compassion for people was completely unequalled. She had a zest for life that would not allow her to ever sit idle. She was a true example for all that is good. Aimee is survived by her loving husband Brent Johnson (32), her four children, Jacob (10), Parker (8), Ellee (4), Abbie (2). Her parents John and Nathell Slater, her siblings Cindi and (Matt) Mcgee, Matthew and (Honey) Slater, Sara and (Lance) Syrett, Ashley and (Michael) Gaskell, and Michael Slater. She is also survived by her grandmother Mrs. June Balls. She will forever be remembered and loved by all those who had the honor of knowing her. May her influence and example continue in us. Viewing will be held Friday, August 25th, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at Palm Mortuary Northwest Location (I-215 & Jones). Funeral services will be held August 26th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Church -7500 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV (US 95 & Durango).
