Van Boerum & Frank Associates announced several management changes and the opening of its new office in northern Utah.

The Utah-based engineering firm elected a new president, Kim P. Harris, who also will serve as chief executive officer. Harris joined the firm in 1977 and was elected vice president in 2000.

John D. Frank was named chief financial officer and chairman of the firm's board of directors. Frank joined the firm of Van Boerum & Associates in 1972 and formed Van Boerum & Frank Associates with Howard Van Boerum. Howard Van Boerum now serves as the firm's president emeritus and an adviser to its board.

Benjamin L. Davis was nominated to serve as vice president and chief operating officer. Davis has more than 13 years of project design experience and was instrumental in the development of the firm's HVAC Solution computer software.

Van Boerum & Frank also announced that Neil H. Spencer, Wade W. Bennion and Steven T. Shepherd have joined the firm as principals, while Byron R. Torgersen, Donald K. Bradshaw, Ladd M. Birch and Jeffrey S. Watkins were promoted to principal. Michael S. Mooney was named associate principal, after serving 15 years as the firm's controller.
