Johnny DeWayne Chancey 11/8/1969 ~ 9/3/2006 Our beloved Johnny D., loving daddy, son, brother, and friend, tragically passed away Sunday, September 3, 2006 after a lifelong struggle with drug addiction. John was born November 8, 1969 in Kinston, Alabama and moved to Salt Lake City with his mother at the age of 18. John was a charming and charismatic soul, and to know him was to love him. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially playing with his children at the park or taking them on outings such as to Snowbird or Red Butte Gardens. He especially loved to "watch" cartoons and football on Sundays with his eyes closed, snuggling his little ones. John is survived by daughter, Abbi Irene McClurg, age 15, and her mother, Katie McClurg; daughter Shelby Kay Chancey, age 10, and her mother, and stepfather, Julie and Jack White; daughter, Mykella Louise Chancey, age 5, and son, Nicholas Bogan Chancey, age 2, and their mother, Monica Chancey; moth-er, Joyce Owens; father, Charlie Chancey; uncle, Sherman "Koot"; aunt, Grace Chancey; mother-in- law, Louise Luebcke; father-in-law, James Luebcke; his wife, Marsha McGregor; brother-in-law, Tavish McGregor; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Tina Luebcke, and their children Ginger, age 6, and Gabriel, age 3; grandfather and grandmother-in-law, Walter and Elizabeth Luebcke, and grandfather and grandmother-in-law, Art and Bettie Buell.
