I have noted, with great alarm, a plan to move the tailings pile at Moab to a new location, taking eight years of sizable effort and costing about half a billion dollars. Why in the world are we making such an issue about class A waste? It has little or no radiation capacity.
The health risk of the Moab tailings is zero, capped and fenced. What is the benefit to move it at such a cost?
