Zero Corp., based in North Salt Lake, on Wednesday said it has sold its Zero Halliburton consumer division to ACE Co. Ltd., a Japanese luggage maker.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Zero Halliburton and ACE previously operated under a contract with ACE being a distribution agent in Japan for Zero Halliburton.
Zero Halliburton now is a wholly owned ACE subsidiary but remains in a manufacturing agreement with Zero Corp.'s Zero Manufacturing division for the next five years.
Zero Halliburton products are sold at more than 700 retail outlets in 24 countries, and the company is negotiating for representation in an additional eight countries. Its brand is on iconic aluminum cases. The company also offers leather and ballistic twill fabric briefcases, computer cases and luggage.
Zero Corp. is composed of Zero Manufacturing Inc. and Zero Cases (UK) Ltd. Zero Cases manufactures aluminum and plastic protective cases, enclosures and assemblies for the aerospace, industrial, medical, electronics and automotive markets.
