Rex Gluck Murphy Gone Fishing Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Rex Gluck Murphy, age 87, died January 20, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born Feb. 24, 1919 in Salina, UT, to George Washington and Amanda Clawson Murphy. Married Alice Savage on May 3, 1952, in the St. George Temple. Member of the LDS Church and has served in many auxiliaries over the years. Served seven years in the Navy and was at Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. Survived by two sons and a daughter; Riley (Vickie) Murphy, Nola Murphy, and Harvey (Hollie) Murphy; four grandchildren and soon to be great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by parents, five sisters, and one brother and wife. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007, 12 noon, at McKay-Waterloo Ward Chapel, 1623 S. 500 E. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. and at the ward Saturday, 10:45-11:45 prior to service. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
