Several other Mountain West Conference intercollegiate contests are being impacted by the fires in the San Diego area. The status of those events is as follows:
• The 2007 MWC men's and women's cross country championships, originally scheduled for 10 and 11 a.m. on Saturday at Mission Bay Park, have been relocated. The championship meets will now be run at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course in Albuquerque. Start time for the men's race will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the women's race at 11 a.m.
• The New Mexico and San Diego State women's soccer match, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Aztec Sports Deck on the SDSU campus, has been relocated. The match will now be played at South Stadium on the BYU campus in Provo. Game time will be 6 or 7 p.m. on Oct. 25.
• The women's swimming and diving meet involving Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico and San Diego State, originally scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday at the SDSU Aquaplex, will be rescheduled. The new date, time and location will be announced once they have been determined.
• The Colorado State-San Diego State volleyball match, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Peterson Gym on the SDSU campus, will be rescheduled. The new date, time and location will be announced once they have been determined.
