Doris Marx 1948 ~ 2007 Doris Ruth Bruno Marx, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died on January 30, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Doris was born on December 25, 1948, in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Pete L. and Doris Nelson Bruno. She married Dale E. Marx on June 28, 1969 in the Manti Temple. She graduated from Carbon High School, where she was a madrigal and a member of the first Carbon High School marching band to participate in the Rose Bowl Parade. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different church and civic positions during her lifetime. She enjoyed cooking, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Dale, of over 37 years; three sons, Dustin (Tara) Marx, Denver, Colorado, David (Mindy) Marx, North Salt Lake and Douglas (Holly) Marx, Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Lindsey, Jacob, and Zachary, Denver, Colorado, Cameron and Spencer, North Salt Lake and William, Houston, Texas. Doris was the oldest child in a family of six children. She is survived by her father, Pete L. Bruno, Price; five siblings, Shirlie (Greg) Van Wagoner, Lake Point, Marilyn (Dean) Harmon, West Valley City, Joan (Darrell) Keller, Price, Valerie Bruno, Houston, Texas and Doug Bruno, Salt Lake City. Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Nelson Bruno. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Lofty Lane Chapel, 351 South Lofty Lane, North Salt Lake, Utah. Friends may call Thursday, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Friday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to service at the chapel.
