She was famous for her handmade afghans, her beautiful oil paintings and prize winning roses. Mother had a wonderful love of nature that she shared with her family. They were blessed by her contagious excitement over trees, plants, rocks, and flowers. Travels with her were always fascinating with her insightful observations, enthusiasm and appreciation of getting to see new places. A trip to Buchart Gardens, in British Columbia was an especially memorable one. Though she never traveled alone, she once surprised and delighted her son and family by driving all the way from Bountiful to Gig Harbor, Washington. With a nervous smile, she was waiting on the front step with the family cat when they arrived home. She is survived by daughter, Adelaide (Edward); grandchildren, Major Paul Ward (Heidi) and their daughter, Hailey (expecting one in Sept.)
