Lola Anderson Sitterud Orangeville Lola Anderson Sitterud, 79, passed away on March 24, 2007 at her home in Orangeville, UT surrounded by her family. With her husband constantly at her side, Lola bravely fought a long battle with Alzheimer's disease and Cancer. She endured faithfully to the end. Lola was born on February 17, 1928 in Huntington, Utah to Soren August and Margaret Mathie Anderson. She was the youngest of 12 children. On December 20, 1947 Lola married Neldon L. Sitterud. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on June 11, 1951. Neldon and Lola were sweethearts who lived their lives with love and devotion to each other. Together they raised five children, sons, Randy Neldon (Cathy) Sitterud, of Castle Dale, Utah; Kirk L. (Karen) Sitterud, and Gary K. (Susan) Sitterud of Orangeville, UT; daughters - Debra Sue (Ricky) Larsen of Orangeville, Utah and Lesa Ann (Wade) Gordon of Idaho Falls, Id. Lola attended school in Huntington, Utah and completed part of a year of college at Carbon College in Price, Utah. She worked for seven years as a teacher's aide at Cottonwood Elementary School in Orangeville, Utah. Lola was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and had an unwavering faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. She faithfully served in various Church callings and especially loved her work with the sisters of the Relief Society and with the children in the Primary. Lola loved the beauties of nature, and loved going to the mountains and being with her sweetheart and family in her special little mountain haven called "Lola's Place". Lola was preceded in death by her parents and her 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her eternal companion Neldon, her five children, 30 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many extended family members. The family expresses a special thanks to Karen Ison who helped in Lola's tender care for the past several years. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the Orangeville First Ward Chapel, 45 West 100 South in Orangeville, Utah. A Viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on March 27, 2007, at the Fausett Mortuary, 710 North Center Street, Castle Dale, and at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial in the Orangeville City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
