Obituary: Lynn Andrew Thomson

Lynn Andrew Thomson 1943 ~ 2007 Lynn lost his courageous battle with cancer in the early morning hours of Easter Sunday. Lynn was born May 29, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Andrew and Ila Thomson, attended Highland High School and married Elaine Elliott on November 29, 1992. Lynn was a Salt Lake County Correctional Officer for 20 years, retiring at the age of 60. Lynn loved his dog's Yulara and Mimi. He also loved his motorcycle and had a lifelong dream of riding it to Alaska. That dream came true in August of 2006. The family wishes to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice and Dr. Stephen Wood for their support over the last weeks. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, and two daughters, Kristen and Teresa. Lynn is survived by his wife Elaine Thomson; children: Brian (Jamie) McCleery, Andrea Albanese, Kathy (Chad) Hill, and Jason Thomson; and six grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday April 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park at 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
