Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't think it was the responsibility of this community to support Kieth Merrill, Dave Sapp and Richard Dutcher simply because they like to make movies. The cinema, like other entertainment, is ruled by the supply-and-demand curve. You can't force that curve.

Members of the LDS faith — at least the ones I know — go to the movies for the same reasons others do: They want to be entertained. And as long as I'm on the subject, I find "Mormon cinema" is often demeaning, degrading and just plain old embarrassing when it comes to my religion.

If I'm going to shell out my hard-earned cash for a movie, I want my money's worth. If you look around, a lot of entertaining movies are void of sex and violence and are quality films.
