Some people are concerned about armed people getting each other confused with perpetrators in a shooting situation such as recently happened at Trolley Square and Virginia Tech. There is little to absolutely no chance of that happening. The demeanor of the shooters in these cases would be impossible to confuse with someone having a firearm and taking a defensive position preparing to defend himself and others.
In my opinion, firearms training should be a required course in school. No one would be required to possess or have anything to do with guns, but at least a large majority of the people in this country would be familiar with guns and gun safety.
