Helius Inc. announced Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire fellow Lindon technology company PointeCast Corp.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
"The combination of PointeCast and Helius technologies will accelerate the delivery of innovative products and tools for the education and corporate training markets," Brian Holman, PointeCast's chief executive officer, said in a prepared statement. "Helius' experience with broadcast quality IP video and enterprise application development will immediately impact the delivery of new features and services for PointeCast customers. This combination will also broaden the appeal of rapid-training and learning solutions."
The acquisition is expected to be completed in the second quarter.
Helius develops IP broadcasting solutions for businesses. PointeCast provides communication and online training services.
