EquiMark Properties Inc., a Salt Lake-based brokerage company, said Monday it has merged with Atlanta-based Apartment Realty Advisors, a privately held multi-housing brokerage and investment advisory company.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
EquiMark will change its name to ARA/EquiMark and eventually become Apartment Realty Advisors Utah. It is expecting to expand with additional brokers and support staff.

Last year, ARA closed more than $8.4 billion in multifamily real estate transactions and is on pace to top that with more than $10 billion in 2007. EquiMark will contribute to this year's sales volume with an estimated 2007 total of more than $250 million.
