Obituary: Frederick M. Speer

Frederick M. Speer 1921 ~ 2007 Frederick M. Speer, 85, died on May 20, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah from liver cancer. He was born on November 28, 1921 in North Vernon, Indiana to William O. and Emily Gertrude Yeager Speer. He married Mary Degles, deceased. He worked for International Harvester Company for over 40 years as a diesel mechanic. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and enjoyed reloading shells of all calibers. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Progress Lodge #112 F&AM. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters in Indiana and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. as Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
