Obituary: Dennis Michael Overstreet

Dennis Michael Overstreet "See ya in a few minutes, ok" Dennis Michael Overstreet, age 48, peacefully left us on May 8, 2007. He was born Nov. 23, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dennis and Emmanuella Overstreet. Our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, the oldest of seven children, D Michael was known for his compassion for children. He really loved being a grandpa. His first love was writing. He was an artistic and talented craftsman. Michael had a keen interest in his forebears. He enjoyed creating memories with friends and family- basketball, boating, golfing, camping, hiking and later photography. Mike was always sensitive to the needs of those less fortunate than he. He went out of his way at gatherings in his home to make each guest feel welcome and loved. He lived two lives in one lifetime - he worked hard and played hard. He was a good friend who left a lasting impression on us all. He is survived by his parents and children, Ryan (Leslie) Overstreet and Sunny (Chad) Brady; grand-children, Justice and Jaden Overstreet and Allie Brady; brothers: Patrick (Evelyn), Nathan (Dacia), Derek (Wendy) Chris (Mindi) Overstreet; sisters: Selena (Chris) Tolmie and Sarah (Jay) Colby, 15 nieces and nephews and his two kitties. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Fri. May 25, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the LDS Church at 600 E. 12300 S. in Draper.
