Denver-based Specialty Sports Venture said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire 18 Breeze Ski Rental shops in three states, including Utah, for $6.5 million.
SSV is a joint venture whose majority owner is Vail Resorts Inc.
With the acquisition, SSV owns more than 145 shops in Colorado, Utah and California. The Utah locations in the deal include two in Park City, one near The Canyons and one in Salt Lake City.

SSV plans to retain the "Breeze" name and upgrade the rental equipment, enhance service levels and increase the number of brands and products.
