Richard Bryce Lyon 1981 ~ 2007 Richard Bryce Lyon, beloved husband, father, brother, son, grandson and friend, 25, passed away April 30, 2007 after battling manic/ depression (bi-polar disorder) for many years. Born October 5, 1981 at Salt Lake City, Utah to Lowell E. Lyon and Linda G. Lyon. Married to Heather Williams Lyon October 29, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his Life Scout award. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly mountain man rendezvous, kayaking, and spending time at the lake with his family. He was very resourceful and a wonderful handyman. He was big on self-improvement and had a strong desire to help others. He wrote amazing poetry on any subject. In 1999, he was elected Student Body President at Brighton High School. He attended Salt Lake Community College, singing with their college choir and playing the clarinet with their jazz band. He also played the piano, harmonica and penny whistle. He had an amazing singing voice. He tried out for American Idol in 2006. He was loved by all who knew him well. Survived by: wife, Heather Williams Lyon; son, Isaac David Lyon; parents, Lowell E. and Linda G. Lyon; sisters, Saralyn (Joe) Musick and Tambria Lyon; brother, Scott Lyon; nephew, Tyler Musick; grandparents, Paul and Ruth Lyon and Aud Gidley; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by grandfather Don Gidley Funeral service will be held Monday, May 7th, 2007 12:00 Noon at the Granite LDS Ward Building, 9575 South 3100 East, Sandy. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South), Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the Granite LDS Ward Bldg. from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Monday. Internment will be at the Mountain View Memorial Park, Cottonwood Heights.
