James Boyd Orgill "Papa Jim" James Boyd Orgill was born at home in Daniel, Utah December 2, 1924, to James W. and Ina McDonald Orgill; the fifth of 11 children. He died at home in Bountiful June 28, 2007. Married Betty Lue North October 18, 1946, in the Salt Lake Temple. Father of three, Rebecca, Bradley, and Gloria. He served with the Fourth Marine Division during World War II and took part in key battles of the South Pacific Campaign. He retired from Bountiful Motors as a Ford Motor master mechanic. He enjoyed driving tow truck for 50 years. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served in many capacities including stake high council and a Family History mission. He was always involved with the youth helping many boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and received the Silver Beaver Award himself in 1986. To all his grandchildren he was the best grandpa. Survived by his "bride" of 60 years, Betty Lue, children Rebecca Anne Russon (Milton) Bountiful, James Bradley Orgill (Nancy) Orangeville, Utah, Gloria Barfuss (Michael) Bountiful, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. For all the excellent emergency care received, Dr. Scott Southworth and Pat, Trudy from South Davis Hospice and all the concerned family and friends who have blessed our lives, we give our heartfelt gratitude and thanks. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 2, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2651 South 500 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Monday morning 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
