Want to go to college but don't have the money? The Utah Humanities Council is accepting applications to The Venture Course in the Humanities, a free, two-semester college-level course taught by professors from the University of Utah and Westminster College.

The course meets at Horizonte Instruction and Training Center Tuesday and Thursday evenings, beginning Sept. 4. Tuition, books, day care and transportation are all provided for the course, which includes sections in art history, philosophy, literature, American history and critical writing. For more information and an application call 801-359-9670 or go to www.utahhumanities.org/Programs/VentureApp.pdf.

Venture is a program of the Utah Humanities Council made possible through a major grant from Alternative Visions, a fund of The Chicago Community Trust.
