Dr. William H. Edwards "Professor" William H. Edwards, age 84, passed away July 3, 2007 in Bountiful, Utah from causes incident to age and illness. He was born in Rexburg, Idaho on Sept. 21, 1922. Son of Homer P. Edwards and Martha Jane Edwards (Miles). He was the youngest of four siblings, and the only boy. He was dearly loved and spoiled by his three older sisters. He spent an incredible childhood in Roosevelt, Utah with many treasured friends and cousins. Early on, it was clear that he loved animals. He nurtured many back to life and trained them all. He had skunks, prairie dogs, snakes, alligators, monkeys, owls, ravens, cougars, bobcats, bees, parakeets - you name it, he had it. He earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Utah, and taught elementary school through college. He was a loyal Utah fan. He was an incredibly intelligent and talented person. He served in the Air Corps in Guam as a photo technician and was proud of his service during World War II. He married Donna Rose Boren on August 28, 1946. They lived in Sacramento, California for a time while going to school, then moved back to Roosevelt to teach school. They moved to Murray in 1964 and lived there for over 40 years. Mom finally talked him into a condo and were there only a short time before they both passed. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved to tell you about it. He served in many positions through the years but loved serving as a Stake Missionary the most. Dad was blessed with many physical trials through this life and faced each one with a tenacity that amazed and taught us all. He never gave up. He could accomplish anything, given enough time.
