Don R. Rudy

1933 ~ 2007

Don R. Rudy age 74, passed away August 6, 2007 of A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig's disease). Don loved life and had many interests including music, the outdoors, cars, boats, planes and business.Don was born in Salt Lake City, on March 11, 1933 to Harold R Rudy and Marian Alvey. Don attended East High and graduated from the U of U with a BS degree in 1954. Don loved to fly and earned his private pilots license at the age of 16, was a member of the Air Force ROTC and received his Silver Wings in 1957 flying jets in the Air Force.

As a young man Don built and raced cars, played classical piano, loved boating and was a ski racer at Alta. His passion was skiing and cutting fresh powder. He was a gifted entrepreneur with several successful businesses. He enjoyed computers and was a self taught programmer. Don was a man of integrity and honesty who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved cooking for his family and friends who all respected and cherished their time with him.

Linda K. Cohen (David), and David Muir, stepchildren Mike Ivison (Trisha), Karen Roylance, and Mark Ivison (deceased), brother Steve and Bob, sisters, Dottie and Miriam. He loved each of his grandchildren for their special talents, they are: Julia, Christian, Jeremy, Jeffery, Emily Bridgette, Saige, Darin, Danielle, Tyler, Kayla, McKelle.

Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sun. Aug. 12th, at Holladay United Church of Christ, 2631 E. Murray Holladay Rd, Holladay, UT
