PRICE — A judge has dismissed some drug and insurance fraud charges against a doctor accused of writing prescriptions to patients and then taking the drugs back.

According to court minutes, Carbon County prosecutors asked the judge to dismiss some of the charges against Dr. Randall Matthew Relyea. It came after the doctor's preliminary hearing July 19 in 7th District Court.

Prosecutors amended one drug charge from a first-degree felony to a second-degree felony. The judge found there was not sufficient probable cause to make Relyea stand trial on other charges.
