Kathleen Adamson Johnson
2/29/1952 ~ 7/31/2007
Kathleen Adamson Johnson passed away July 31, 2007 at the age of 55 as the result of a serious car accident in Bountiful Utah.
Kathleen was the third of six children born to Karl Blaine Adamson and Mary Neves. She was born on February 29, 1952 in Salt Lake City Utah, although she was not the youngest, she had touted the least amount of birthdays. She met her best friend in 1970 and quickly fell in love with him. She was sealed for Time and all Eternity to her best friend in the Salt Lake Temple on December 18, 1970, and their love, and friendship for each other has grown to this day almost 37 years later. Kathleen was known for her love of music, including her ability to make a violin sing. She was known to be strong in the Gospel and has spent her life fulfilling multiple callings in The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. She was also known to those in the South Davis area as the "Newspaper Lady" having worked with Media One for about 20 years. However she was best known for her love of her dear husband and her eight
children, all of whom she loved and supported and spent her life making sure that each of their needs was met. To her family she is known as Wife, Mom, Grandma and of course "Best Friend."
She is survived by Vanner Lynn Johnson (husband) and all her
children, LauraLee Toone (Adam), Wendy Schultz (Tom), Vanner Lynn Jr. (Donna), Karyn Vigil (Frank), Karl Lynn (Nancy), David Lynn, Diantha Mangelson (Trent) and Joseph Lynn, and 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sister, Ron, Douglas, Mary Ann, Jay and Robert as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by both of her parents.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all those involved with this terrible tragedy. Our mother would want God's sweetest blessings upon you all and so do we. We also want to thank all those who assisted our mother both at the scene and at the University of Utah Hospital, especially those in the SICU trauma center for their valiant effort to save her life and for their kindness to us. A memorial fund has been set up at Deseret First Credit Union under Kathleen Johnson.
