Henry W. Bredthauer

BOUNTIFUL-Henry W. Bredthauer, 83, passed away Sun. Sept. 9, 2007, at home from natural causes.
Henry was born in Heuerssen, Germany to Henry F. and Anna Sophie Harmening Bredthauer on April 4, 1924. He married Marian Julia Barg on May 23, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. Henry Graduated from Granite High. He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He retired from the U.S. postal service. He was active in the LDS church where he held many positions. He was active in scouting where he served many years as scoutmaster and received his Silver Beaver Award. He and his wife served in the Illinois, Peoria Mission working in the Browning building in Nauvoo.

Jeanette (Vaughn) Day, Layton; Niel (Janet) Bredthauer, North Salt Lake; Paul (Debra) Bredthauer, Farmington; Jean (Kevin) Brown, Woods Cross; Nancy (Scott) Durrant, Littleton, CO; Carl (Jennifer) Bredthauer, Kaysville; Louise (Brent) Day, Bountiful; 28 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Sophie Nagel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, his parents, sisters
Anna Haertel, Caroline Verhaaren, and brother Fred.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. Sept. 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Val Verda 2nd Ward, 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful. Friends and family may call Fri. evening Sept. 14, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Sat. from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
